Space Rock from Short’s Brewing Company located in Michigan is an American Pale Ale that comes in at 5% ABV and 55 IBU, unlike the 72 mentioned on Untappd which goes to my point of their inaccuracies at times. Nonetheless, this is one that I had wanted to try for a good amount of time, and just recently, it was made available to me through our distribution. For me best described, I found this to be a somewhat decent pale ale that carried the expected characteristics that one expects of the style. It was hoppy, dry, slightly bitter and somewhat flavorful with tones of orange and grapefruit. It did play thinner than expected so that did catch me by surprise, but it is a lighter bodied pale ale. For me, it was worth a try, but it just did not do a lot to stand out. Check out the video to see and hear more of my thoughts on this one, and if you have had it then let me know what you thought by dropping a comment below.
