Uinta Lime Pilsner Beer Review

The Lime Pilsner from Uinta Brewing Company is described as being light-bodied and crisp to which I do agree. This 5.3% ABV and low 15 IBU beer does is not too bad to kick back and relax with in my opinion, even for me that doesn’t usually like to fruit the beer. Of course with this, like Prego it’s in there. Man that's an old commercial, anyway light, citrus, clean, sweet, refreshing and obviously fruity is how I would describe this one that I rated 3.75 out of 5, making it a solid enough beer to try for sure. If you want to see more of my thoughts on it then check out the video as well.

Trader Joe's (Unibroue) Vintage Ale *2015 Beer Review

Trader Joe’s Vintage Ale is a beer brewed by Unibroue for Trader Joe’s as a celebratory beer so to speak. This 9% ABV Belgian Strong Dark Ale as reviewed here is that of the 2015 vintage which I had in the cellar and decided to finally try. It is no longer in production but still worth a look and still in good shape as far as its sustainability. How did I find this beer? The beer was dark, sweet, smooth and boozy along with notes of licorice and clove to say the least however overall it was a tasty one that at $5.99 a bottle was a great deal. I rated this one a 4 out of 5 and would definitely recommend checking out the other vintages if you have any Trader Joe’s near you.

Boatyard Brewing Kirkenberry Sour Beer Review

Kirkenberry Sour is a sour ale from Boatyard Brewing Company located in Michigan, and carries a sessionable ABV of 4.6%. Fruity, sour and light all accompany this beer which provides an okay overall feel. It’s not overly tart, which is something that does happen with other sour ales at times. Unfortunately, while it is refreshing not much is really left behind to me it memorable in my opinion. This being said, this beer rates a 3.25 out of 5 for me and thank you to my buddy Eric for getting me this one to try. Check out my video to hear and see more of my thoughts on this one.

Iron Line Shuttle Train Beer Review

Shuttle Train is a Belgian-Style White Ale from Iron Line Brewing and was brewed in collaboration with Rivertown Brewery & Barrel House. Coming in at 5.6% and 22 IBU, this Witbier at the time I purchase it was a lower cost offering that I figured I give a try. A little bitter, it does come across with a clove characteristic along with some sweetness in the taste and dryness in the texture. Although in the end, the beer didn’t sit more above the average level which at $5.99 a six pack made it somewhat okay. My rating on this one places it at 2.75 out of 5.
