Beer Review: Smuttynose Imperial Stout 10.5% ABV

This is a look at the Imperial Stout from Smuttynose Brewing Company out of Hampton, New Hampshire and this American Imperial Stout comes in at an ABV of 10.5% along with an IBU level of 99. Now when one hears an IBU level of that high then bitterness is often the first thing that comes to mind, but the malts used actually bring a nice sweetness that is both rich and malty that it works to offset the aggressive dry hopping. This is a beer that you can take fresh or cellar to smooth out, check out my review here to see what else I think about this offering.
