Getting My Beer On Upland Juiced In Time Beer Review
Juiced In Time from Upland Brewing Company is a New England IPA style beer, which thanks to my friend Todd; I was able to try recently. At 6.5% ABV and 20 IBU, this beer did well coming in with a nice juicy quality that fruity and tropic in its notes and taste and just a nice smooth beer overall. There was a slight bitterness and the citrusy feel came through nicely along with the hoppiness of the beer making it a decent brew to try and enjoy. It is part of their limited series, so if you see it and you like this style then it is worth a try. Check out the video to see and hear more on this one.
Getting My Beer On 450 North Flapjack Nuggets Beer Review
Here is the look at my last one in the Nuggets series from the 450 North Brewing Company, and it was the Flapjack Nuggets. This Sweet Stout noted as a Pastry Stout on the can comes in with an ABV of 9%, which I found to be a smooth 9%. If they could put pancakes and syrup in a beer then this would surely be a strong possibility of the result. There was a nice feel of the maple and lactose that came through and the notes of chocolate were still picked up as well as a tinge of coffee, which was also present. The mouthfeel was very nice pulling it all together, and then there was mouthcoating of the flavor left after the swallowing of the beer. Dark, sweet, syrupy in the taste and texture, this beer really did come as described. My only thing would be that a summer cool night, in my opinion, might play better than a summer day, and a release in the fall may increase the enjoyment. Nonetheless, it is damn good and well worth trying especially for any Sweet Stout fan. Check out the video to see and hear more on this beer that will have you thinking it just may be breakfast in a glass.
Getting My Beer On 450 North OJ Nuggets Beer Review
Another brew from 450 North Brewing and this time it was the OJ Nuggets and thanks again to my friend Todd for hooking me up with this one as well. So funny drinking these and saying that it is beer but I do enjoy the style, and this one came in nicely as a smooth and flavorful version. Obviously, being OJ citrus is expected and it did not disappoint as the citrus notes came through nicely in both the aroma and flavor. There were a solid juiciness and hoppiness to the brew, along with a nice resinous quality on the back end. A little bit of astringency and dryness in the finish, this again could be expected. However, in the end, a solid tasting brew left a great mouthfeel that just encouraged the drinking of more. This could easily be a nice beer for chugging, although I would rather just take my time an enjoy it. This is a good beer indeed worth trying for any fan of this style. Check out the video to see and hear more of my thoughts on it.
Getting My Beer On With A Sun King SKB IPA And A Cigar
Saturday afternoon and I decided to stop at one of our local bar restaurants, Buffalo Bobs, and grab an SKB IPA from Sun King Brewing and enjoy it with a nice cigar as we had a break in the weather. Moreover, a nice beer this one proved to be as well, coming in at 6.5% ABV and even 70 IBU this beer offered a nice smoothness. There was a good crisp clean feel to the beer with some excellent clarity and bubble action. A good feel of the citrus hops came out in both the aroma and flavor and overall provided a decent feel. This beer is definitely one that I would recommend for any IPA fan. Check out my video to see and hear more on this one.

Getting My Beer On With 450 North Tropic Nuggets
Finally, I was able to get one of the Nuggets Series beers
from 450 North Brewing and this NE Style DIPA did not disappoint for me. The beer itself
provided a nice mouthfeel that was full of flavor, as well as a nice feel from
the Double Dry Hopped process that brought in great aroma and flavor from the
hops used. It had a nice juiciness and for me, I felt that it offered some nice
tropical as well as citrusy flavor notes of pineapple, mango, orange, and
grapefruit at the least. The finish is dry, but that can also be expected, and
that dryness just made me want to drink more. At 8.5% ABV and 45 IBU, this beer
plays out smooth without any booziness. A solid offering for my initiation to
the brewery and one that I will say is worth trying for any fan of this style.
