North Coast Brewing Company Cans Red Seal Ale and PranQster for the First Time in History

FORT BRAGG, Calif., June 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time since their debut, two of North Coast Brewing Company's (NCBC) most iconic beers, Ruedrich's Red Seal Ale and PranQster Belgian Style Golden Ale, are now available in 12 oz cans, marking a major milestone for NCBC.

First bottled in 1988 and 1995 respectively, Red Seal and PranQster have long been staples of North Coast Brewing Company's award-winning lineup. Their transition to cans comes with the installation of the brewery's first in-house canning line, a move that enhances quality control, freshness, and accessibility for fans nationwide.

"These beers have been with us since the early days," said Jennifer Owen, CEO/CFO of North Coast Brewing Company. "Canning them for the first time is not just a packaging update—it's a celebration of their legacy and a way to bring them to more people in a more convenient package."

The new canning line gives NCBC full control over its packaging process, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency while preserving the integrity of its time-honored recipes. The move also supports the brewery's broader sustainability goals.

In tandem with the canning launch, NCBC is introducing Eco-Rings, a 100% compostable alternative to plastic can holders. Made from natural plant fibers and other biodegradable materials, Eco-Rings break down in both home and commercial composting environments, leaving no harmful microplastics behind and posing no threat to wildlife.

"We're proud to pair this historic canning release with a packaging innovation that reflects our values," Owen added. "Eco-Rings are a step forward for the planet and for craft beer."

Red Seal six-packs and PranQster four-packs in 12 oz cans are now available at select retailers, the Brew Shop at the Pub at NCBC, and online where shipping is permitted.
