MOOSEHEAD BREWERIES PRESIDENTIAL PACKS ARE DELIVERED ACROSS CANADA

Limited-edition format from Canada's oldest and largest independent brewery includes one beer for every day of the American Presidential Term

SAINT JOHN, NB, June 30, 2025 /CNW/ - In March, Moosehead Breweries introduced the Presidential Pack, a limited-edition crate that includes 1,461 cans of the brand's iconic Canadian Lager - just enough to get through the full presidential term.

Response was overwhelming. The Presidential Pack captured international attention, selling out - at a retail price of $3,490 - in just days and attracting a waitlist of more than 450 names.

Now, just in time for Canada Day, the completed packs are making their way to lucky purchasers across the country.

"The single biggest question we heard when we launched the Presidential Pack was: is this for real?" says Karen Grigg, Director of Marketing at Moosehead Breweries. "So we're delighted to confirm today that not only are they real, but they're here - Presidential Packs are now being delivered across Canada."

Photos and video assets showcasing select deliveries can be found here.

One lucky purchaser, New Brunswick's Randy Defazio, says the Presidential Pack will be the cornerstone of his July 1 celebrations: "When I saw the Presidential Pack, it hit me—this is what we need right now. Something that cuts through the noise and brings people together. The U.S. tariffs are doing real damage—driving up costs, hurting local businesses, and putting pressure on hardworking Canadians. But we don't back down. I'm proud of how we've responded as a country, and proud of Moosehead for stepping up with something bold. The Presidential Pack says we can stand our ground without losing who we are."

Grigg confirms that the offer was intended to celebrate Canadian spirit: "Moosehead was founded in the same year as Canada, 1867. And we exist to recognize and reward the courage and resilience that defines this country. It's going to be a long four years, but we know we can get through it together, one well-earned beer at a time."

Moosehead Breweries, based in Saint John, New Brunswick, is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians.

Moosehead's Presidential Pack should be enjoyed responsibly.

About Moosehead Breweries

Moosehead has been led by the Oland family since 1867, making us the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. Our 157-year history is as rich as the flavour of our beer. Today, we exist to reawaken and reward the courage to go after what's difficult, because we know that obstacles are opportunities to show the world what you're capable of.

Thoughts On My First Time Attending CBC...Finally

This is a long overdue piece, but time and life always bring surprises, delays, and all kinds of unexpected curveballs. This being said, I am finally getting time to get caught up and share some of the great happenings over the last few months and the first half of the year.

This piece is just that, and a big thanks to the Brewers Association for the recent Craft Brewers Conference that took place in Indianapolis from April 28-May 1st this year. Attending the event as a media presence was a great opportunity to get behind the scenes with the many companies that are bringing success to the craft brewing industry. From the breweries to the suppliers and marketers, and all that make it happen…it was a worthwhile experience.

I had the honor to meet and talk with some legendary folks from the beer world, and here, just like many of the events that I have been a part of, the beer industry is one of the most welcoming and community-building ones that I have ever seen. It is something to see. Now it’s not perfect, which it knows, but it is doing things looking to strive for better, showing the ability to self-reflect. This is a great thing because it shows the awareness of opportunities that are still untapped, and working toward them will bring even more success. This was something of one of the major takeaways for me.

From the time of the reception throughout the final night of the World Beer Cup awards, the knowledge that was shared was invaluable for many who came and left stronger with new associations and contacts that could help build success. And in some cases, it was being able to communicate with others and know, “okay, it’s not just me.” What an opportunity for all.

In attending the various sessions and presentations, the conference covered such a broad and good range of topics that I would say anyone in or around the beer industry should consider attending if they can. And of course, then there was the beer. The various beers from around the country on hand were outstanding. And not just learning about the beer was great, but talking with those behind the malts and hops as well, and their contributions were enlightening. And not to mention, the beer technology companies and what they are doing and how it is also enhancing the beer world was fascinating in being able to discuss.

Next year, the Craft Brewers Conference will take place in Philadelphia in 2026, and although this was my first time attending, if it is anything like it was for Indianapolis, then I say make your plans to attend this excellent opportunity! The conversations, connections, and contacts you have and make will alone make it well worth it.

Cheers!

North Coast Brewing Company Cans Red Seal Ale and PranQster for the First Time in History

FORT BRAGG, Calif., June 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time since their debut, two of North Coast Brewing Company's (NCBC) most iconic beers, Ruedrich's Red Seal Ale and PranQster Belgian Style Golden Ale, are now available in 12 oz cans, marking a major milestone for NCBC.

First bottled in 1988 and 1995 respectively, Red Seal and PranQster have long been staples of North Coast Brewing Company's award-winning lineup. Their transition to cans comes with the installation of the brewery's first in-house canning line, a move that enhances quality control, freshness, and accessibility for fans nationwide.

"These beers have been with us since the early days," said Jennifer Owen, CEO/CFO of North Coast Brewing Company. "Canning them for the first time is not just a packaging update—it's a celebration of their legacy and a way to bring them to more people in a more convenient package."

The new canning line gives NCBC full control over its packaging process, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency while preserving the integrity of its time-honored recipes. The move also supports the brewery's broader sustainability goals.

In tandem with the canning launch, NCBC is introducing Eco-Rings, a 100% compostable alternative to plastic can holders. Made from natural plant fibers and other biodegradable materials, Eco-Rings break down in both home and commercial composting environments, leaving no harmful microplastics behind and posing no threat to wildlife.

"We're proud to pair this historic canning release with a packaging innovation that reflects our values," Owen added. "Eco-Rings are a step forward for the planet and for craft beer."

Red Seal six-packs and PranQster four-packs in 12 oz cans are now available at select retailers, the Brew Shop at the Pub at NCBC, and online where shipping is permitted.
