Warped Wing Brewing Company to Release Collaboration Beer with Killer Brownie®

DAYTON, OH (January 25, 2022) – Your shortcut to Deliciousville is now within reach. Introducing Killer Brownie® Brown Ale. A culinary meld of craft goodness. You will get aromas of deep, rich chocolate up front. Followed up with sips of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and molasses. It’s like a brownie in liquid form. And it’s killer.

The Killer Brownie Company is owned and operated by the same family as Dorothy Lane Market. What started as one unforgettable fudge-y, gooey, double-layered brownie nestled with pecans and velvety caramel—The Original—has grown into a robust offering of gourmet brownie flavors, including seasonal additions.

“Killer Brownie is a Dayton staple and we've always wanted to partner with them on a beer.” said Nick Bowman, VP/Sales & Marketing and Managing Partner at Warped Wing. “This project has been a few years in the making but here we are and I'm excited to bring forth into the world our liquid version of the famous Killer Brownie!”, said Bowman.

“The folks at Warped Wing are true masters of their craft.” said Jessica Uttinger, Director of Marketing and Creative Services at Killer Brownie®. “When we began discussing a collaboration in 2019, it was immediately clear—they would create a brew that mirrors the decadence Killer Brownie® is known for. Their commitment to quality is matched only by their love of community, which made them ideal partners to work with. Gathering people together to share joyful moments over food and drink is something they've long been known for, and it's an honor to have the Killer Brownie® name on one of their cans.” said Uttinger.

Killer Brownie Brown Ale will launch in the Dayton & Springboro Taprooms on Thursday, February 3rd - just ahead of Valentine’s Day. It will also be available at Warped Wing’s new Taproom location opening on Friday, February 4th in Mason, OH. The beer will be available on draught for on-site consumption and in 6-pack 12 oz. cans to go. Custom branded glasses will be available for purchase in the Warped Wing Taprooms (while supplies last) to make for an unforgettable and commemorative experience.

Warped Wing Brewing Co. is a Dayton craft brewery inspired by Ohio’s rich history of innovation and invention. We are committed to carrying that spirit forward by brewing new proprietary beer styles along with original “warped” interpretations.

Rhinegeist to Introduce New Line of Hard Craft Beverages in 2022

CINCINNATI—Cincinnati-based Rhinegeist Brewery is excited to announce a new line of full-flavored Hard Craft Beverages—called RGBevs—that will be hitting taps and shelves in early 2022!

RGBevs (short for Rhinegeist Beverages) features an array of exciting fruit combinations and natural flavors. Drawing from years of innovation and experimentation with fruit-focused alternatives to beer, RGBevs will feature updated staples from Rhinegeist’s Fruited Ale family alongside some new additions. Bubbles, a longtime fan favorite, will anchor the lineup, joined by Wowie Colada, Zango Crush and Rhinegeist’s first Hard Lemonade, Lemmy Nade.

Not beer, not seltzer, these new Hard Craft Beverages are uniquely crafted from a clear malt base with blends of real fruit and natural flavors to showcase a range of bright, fruity, juicy profiles that deliver refreshing and intense real fruit flavor. “RGBevs are all about bringing flavor back!” says Tracey Ireland, Director of Marketing at Rhinegeist. “Through a series of consumer panels and employee trials, it was clear that people are looking for more flavorful alternatives in the ‘beyond beer’ space. By delivering an intense, full flavor experience, RGBevs, are breaking the rules of flavor! These are bound to make waves, and we’re really excited to get them out into the world.”

Concurrently with the RGBevs launch, Rhinegeist will be releasing Geist Tea, an all new Hard Tea. At 5% ABV, Geist Tea uses real black tea concentrate and other natural flavors to capture the spirit and taste of classic, sun-brewed iced tea. “We have wanted to add a Hard Tea to our portfolio for years. As we increased innovation in the beyond beer space, the production team was challenged with adding a tea to the mix. They delivered a wonderfully balanced, uncarbonated product that blew us away, and we knew we had to add it to our lineup.” notes Matt Steinke, Vice President of Sales at Rhinegeist.

In addition to RGBevs and Geist Tea, Rhinegeist has been working on some other exciting releases that will hit the market in 2022, including a brand-new fruited wheat beer and a variety pack containing crowd-sourced fan favorites from the brewery’s past releases. “The future has never been more clear—people are searching for delightful and flavorful innovation, and we’re excited to deliver on this front with a wide spectrum of new offerings in the coming year,” exclaims Bryant Goulding, co-founder of Rhinegeist. “2022 is looking bright, refreshing and delicious!” RGBevs and Geist Tea will be available beginning in early March.

Rhinegeist Brewery was founded in 2013. Its name translates to “Ghost of the Rhine” and refers to its location in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District in Cincinnati, Ohio. Located in the skeleton of an old brewery built before Prohibition, Rhinegeist aims to brew beers that sing with flavor. The Rhinegeist team believes in the power of beer to bring great people together, foment fantastic ideas and build a community that values craft beer and one another.

Ohio Pint Day Returns Tuesday, Sept. 28

Ohio Pint Day Fundraiser Grows in Second Year

COLUMBUS, Ohio – More than 150 breweries across the state are joining forces to participate in Ohio Pint Day on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021. Now in its second year, Ohio Pint Day is an opportunity for craft beer enthusiasts to support Ohio’s craft brewing industry by purchasing a limited-edition collectible pint glass available exclusively at participating brewery taprooms.

This year, more than 15,000 glasses will be available at breweries across the state, up from approximately 11,000 in 2020. In partnership with the participating breweries and glass manufacturer Boelter Beverage, $1 from every glass will be donated to the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, the non-profit organization that represents Ohio’s independently-owned craft breweries.

Each participating brewery will create their own promotion around the Ohio Pint Day glasses, selling them individually, offering them at a discounted price with a beer purchase, or given away for free. All promotions begin on Tuesday, Sept. 28: breweries that are not normally open on Tuesdays have the option to open for Ohio Pint Day or to offer the glasses on the next day they are open to the public.

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association commissioned artist Jessica Greving to design this year’s Ohio Pint Day glass after seeing the can designs she had produced for Homestead Beer Company.

“Since I grew up with a love of the “I Spy” books by Jean Marzollo and Walter Wick, I found enjoyment in the challenge of hiding things in my artwork,” Greving explains in her artist’s statement. “This group of beer drinking, fun-loving animals is all about that feeling you get when you’re people-watching and suddenly see something cool or funny.”

Tuesday, Sept. 28 was chosen as the date for the 2021 Ohio Pint Day as it coincides with National Drink Beer Day, an occasion to celebrate and enjoy the world-class beer made right here in the state of Ohio.

Users of the Ohio On Tap brewery passport app will be able to receive a bonus passport stamp by purchasing an Ohio Pint Day glass. Users will be able to submit selfies with their glass from Sept. 28 through Oct. 3 to receive the stamp.

“Last year’s inaugural Ohio Pint Day was a huge success, not just as a fundraiser for our organization, but also as a promotion for our member breweries struggling with the effects of the pandemic,” said Ohio Craft Brewers Association executive director Mary MacDonald. “We’re so grateful that fans of Ohio craft beer have gotten behind this program and continue to support our state’s independently-owned breweries.”

A complete list and map of participating breweries can be found at https://ohiocraftbeer.org/ohiopintday/
