Getting My Beer On With Nowhere In Particular Batch 021

Nowhere in Particular Promiscuous Ale Project is located in Dayton, Ohio, and Batch 021 is their Double Dropped IPA brewed with red raspberries, lemons, and Enigma hops. The ABV on this brew is at 6% and has an IBU of 40. So what this turns out to be is a fruity IPA that they also call, The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle. It is also one that they say will only be brewed once and then it’s gone, which they do with just about all of their beers. I must say I did find it an interesting beer, it was more fruitier and sour than I expected with a good refreshing quality. Both the raspberry and lemon do come through rather easily, and there is a layer of acidity along with the tartness of it. And of course being an IPA, there is still some bitterness and a drying quality as well. I don’t know how much was made or how long it will be around at this point, but if you are a fruit beer and IPA fan then this may be a beer for you. Distribution for the brewery includes Kentucky, Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio.

Getting My Beer On Platform High Brow Barista Beer Review

High Brow Barista from Platform Beer Company is one that I picked up a while ago and drank, but am just getting around to uploading the review. It is not an all-year-round offering but it is not one that I would not mind being so. The beer is a Coffee Rye Pale Ale that uses dried coffee beans in conjunction to the spiced rye and other ingredients. At 6.4% ABV, the beer is not boozy and the coffee and spice provide the nice crisp finish as also advertised on the can. It was very smooth and flavorful, light-bodied, aromatic, and just overall a good beer. I can only hope they bring this one back and if you like, coffee and a spice type kick then I think it is definitely worth a try. Check out the video to see and hear more on this one. Getting My Beer On Rivertown Roebling Nitro Beer Review

In the past I had looked at the Roebling Vanilla Espresso Imperial Porter from Rivertown Brewery & Barrel House, however, this is a look at the Nitro version to see how this one compares. At 7.9% ABV, this version is still stacked the same and still provides the same dark, coffee, and roasted qualities of the non-nitro version. However, as an Imperial, I did find this to be a bit thin with a watery quality to it, which I was not really expecting. It did have a smooth feel from the Nitro, but one thing I have noticed from both versions is that on draft has totally worked better for me than the canned versions. As I look back on my Untappd, it is almost a night and day experience from my notes and comments. Funny how that works out, but check out the video to see and hear more of my thoughts on this one. Also, if you have had it before then leave a comment below about your thoughts on it as well. I am curious to see what others think about it.

Getting My Beer On Revolution Eugene Beer Review

Eugene is a Porter from Revolution Brewing Company located in Chicago, Illinois. Carrying the namesake of iconic Eugene V. Debs, this one seemed to be created with robust in mind. 6.8% ABV and 28 IBU are the stats on this beer that for me brought in some nice roasted coffee tones from the malts as well as a nice overall smoothness. There was some bittering to the beer as well, which was much like that of an all-black coffee and not the bittering that we usually equate to hops. This all year offering also provided a nice sweetness that balanced well against the beer, making it a decent one to give a try. Getting My Beer On Rivertown Pineapple Whip Beer Review

Brewed with milk sugar for creaminess, Pineapple Whip from Rivertown Brewery & Barrel House is a Nitro Berliner Style Sour Ale that carries a 5% ABV along and is a limited edition from the brewery making it a one-time brew from the brewery. For me, this one did have the sweetness expected although the artificialness of the added flavor was easy to distinguish. It was light and creamy due to the nitro effect, as well as fruity but just too soft for me. There was the sour feel to be expected, and on a warm day, it can have its place especially with the smoothness that it did provide. Check out the video to see and hear more of my thoughts on this one, and if you have had it then let me know what you thought by placing some comments below.
