Colin Jost Tapped as First-Ever Celebrity Partner of Blue Moon Family of Brands

Colin Jost co-creates and stars in Blue Moon's latest commercials showcasing how "Nothing Outshines a Blue Moon"

CHICAGO, June 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Blue Moon family of brands announces its first-ever celebrity partnership with Colin Jost in their new "Nothing Outshines a Blue Moon" commercials. As part of Blue Moon's "Made Brighter" platform, Jost garnishes the campaign with his signature wit, proving that nothing outshines a Blue Moon – not even the brand's own spokesperson.

Beyond starring in the ads, Jost was also a co-creator of the campaign. Working in collaboration with his production company, No Notes, and adam&eveDDB, Colin combined his distinct comedic sensibilities with Blue Moon's long legacy of storytelling. The campaign leads with "Orange & Son," which brings to life, quite literally, Blue Moon's iconic orange garnish, as Colin encounters two talking oranges. Watch HERE.

And although Colin also stars in the second spot, "Zoom In," it's no question that it is ultimately the beer that steals the show. Watch HERE.

The "Nothing Outshines a Blue Moon" creative is an extension of Blue Moon's "Made Brighter" campaign, celebrating how the beer can brighten up any moment, whether that's with its iconic orange garnish and refreshing citrus flavor, or even a talking piece of fruit.

The spots will be airing across national TV, as well as social and streaming services, in addition to high-impact social assets, featuring Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale and Blue Moon Light.

"We are beyond excited to work with Colin, his signature wit and charm pair perfectly with Blue Moon," said Courtney Benedict, Vice President of Marketing for Above Premium Beer at Molson Coors Beverage Company. "As co-creator of the spots, Colin helped shape the creative, infusing them with his own unique comedic take to really make Blue Moon shine one perfectly garnished pour at a time."

To celebrate, Colin and Blue Moon are picking up the tab* at some of his favorite Staten Island bars on June 24 starting at 6 p.m. ET, because no beer outshines a Blue Moon, especially on Colin's home turf. Plus, Colin's popping into one of his favorite local spots to enjoy some brews and maybe even add a little garnish of humor.

*One complimentary Blue Moon offered on 6/24/25 at select locations on a limited, first come, first served basis. One serving per person, while supplies last, 21+ only.

American Hop Supplier Calls Brewing Community to Help Support Veterans

YAKIMA, Wash., June 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Yakima Chief Hops (YCH) is excited to launch the 8th Annual Veterans Blend, a collaboration that raises funds to support U.S. military Veterans. This year, YCH will donate $1 for every pound sold to Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization providing aid, comfort, and resources to the U.S. military, Veterans, and their families.

The blend is curated and selected by Veterans working in the beer industry. This year, it will be composed of Krush®, Idaho 7®, Citra®, and HBC 1134. The YCH sensory team anticipates strong stone fruit and tropical flavors, with a subtle undertone of herbal, woody, and floral aromas.

Beer industry Veterans nominate and vote for which charity YCH partners with. "Soldiers' Angels offers so many different avenues of support to our Veterans," says Jonathan Sikes, YCH Regional Sales Manager Southeast, and Marine Veteran. "I am honored to be working with them."

Soldiers' Angels took shape when Patti Patton began sending care packages to her son in his deployment during Iraq's initial invasion. The website she created for people to "adopt" service members overseas became a comprehensive organization serving Veterans through food, care packages, transportation, housing, and holistic support. They work as a bridge to services and partner with other organizations. "We look to fill gaps that other agencies aren't filling," says Soldiers' Angels President and CEO Amy Palmer. "A lot of times, when Veterans have needs, they get sent all over the place. We try to navigate that for them and make sure that they're not stuck in that cycle, because it can add to the mental health challenges they may already have."

Veterans Blend is available to pre-order through August 25th. Brewers are encouraged to secure their supply, as spot inventory will be limited. Purchase this year's Veteran's Blend at yakimachief.com, learn more about Soldiers' Angels, and raise a pint for our dedicated service members!

Ohio Craft Breweries' Economic Impact Holds Steady at $1.29 Billion

Despite economic turbulence, new report shows indicators of stable, mature industry.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Craft Brewers Association’s biennial economic impact report shows that Ohio’s craft brewing industry brewed 1.15 million barrels of beer and delivered $1.29 billion to the state's economy in 2024.

Forty-six Ohio breweries opened in 2024, bringing the state total to 442 craft breweries at the end of last year. Ohio’s 1.15 million barrels of craft beer production volume last year ranks sixth among U.S. states, despite a 10.9% decrease compared to 2022 volume. The impact report details the regional and statewide contributions Ohio craft breweries make to the state economy:
In addition, the 116 breweries that responded to the impact survey donated approximately $1.5 million to charitable causes and gave thousands of volunteer hours to community groups.

Over a two year period marked by growing costs of doing business — inflation on input goods, a competitive and challenging labor market, rising interest rates — and shifts in consumer spending and preferences, Ohio's small and independent breweries continue to support state and local economies. Breweries provide manufacturing, hospitality, administrative and creative jobs within communities all over the state, supporting more than 8,000 households.

While craft beer production volume is down compared to 2022 levels, some of that decline is attributable to breweries who have shifted a portion of their production capacity to alternative beverage products to meet consumer demand. Small breweries are uniquely positioned to pivot quickly and take advantage of market trends when advantageous to do so.

Craft beer's dollar share of the overall beer market has actually increased year-over-year according to the Brewers Association's 2024 Annual Craft Brewing Industry Production Report, indicating steady demand and performance in on-premise sales. Breweries have established themselves as inclusive gathering places with strong, authentic ties to the communities they serve.

"Craft breweries are here to stay," said Mary MacDonald, executive director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. "While it's a difficult and unpredictable time to own and operate a small business, brewers are adaptable and resilient, crafting world-class beer while supporting the communities that support them."

The full 2024 Economic and Fiscal Impact of Ohio’s Craft Brewing Industry report is available at ohiocraftbeer.org/2024impactreport

Founded in 2007, the Ohio Craft Brewers Association is a nonprofit guild that exists to promote, preserve, diversify and unify Ohio’s craft brewing industry. We aspire to be recognized as the industry leader at both state and national levels for preserving the art of making high-quality, unique craft beer; to serve as the unified voice for craft brewers across the state; to advocate on behalf of the Ohio craft beer industry; to contribute to systemic, local community development by driving economic and job growth, while creating experiences that bring people together; to promote safe, responsible enjoyment of Ohio craft beer; and to serve as a beacon for local production and manufacturing through craft beer, resulting in diverse choices for consumers.
