Market Garden Frosty Lime Wit W/ Tangerine Beer Review

Frosty from Market Garden Brewery out of Cleveland is a lime Witbier with tangerine that for me brought a decent refreshing quality with this light in body beer. There was some tartness from the tangerine, although the lime definitely stood out more. Overall, it was a nice smooth citrusy beer, 3.25 out of 5 for me on this one. Ballast Point Manta Ray Beer Review

Manta Ray from Ballast Point is an 8.5% ABV 70 IBU Imperial IPA that does a good job of hitting on the qualities of the style. I found it to have a nice tone of citrus well balanced against the malts, which provided a nice overall smoothness despite their also being some moments of the hoppy bitterness coming through. This beer just works, 4.25 out of 5 for me. Check out the video if you would like to see or hear more on this one.

Breckenridge Nitro Irish Stout Beer Review

The Nitro Irish Stout from Breckenridge Brewery, a 4% ABV 38 IBU Dry Irish Stout released earlier this year that I found to have a nice mouthfeel that definitely improved over time as it warmed and provided a nice duration of the flavor. It did play out a little thinner than expected, but still had nice notes of chocolate and coffee and even though thin, the nitro did bring a nice creamy smooth feel to the beer. 3.5 out of 5 for me on this one, and check out the video to see and hear more.

St. Peter's Golden Ale Beer Review

Golden Ale from St. Peter’s Brewery Company based in Suffolk, England is a 4.7% ABV Golden Ale that I happened to notice while visiting one of my local bottle shops. The design of the bottle is what caught my eye and that may have been the best part of the beer for me. Malty, smooth and carrying a taste reminiscent of licorice in the flavor, this one I think definitely plays to an acquired taste for sure. Overall though it solid enough to finish the bottle, but not one that I would probably check out again. 2.75 out of 5 for me and check out the video if you would like to see and hear more on this one.

Saranac Big Moose Winter Ale Beer Review

Playing a little catch up here, but this was my past look at the Big Moose Winter Ale from the Saranac Brewery located in New York. I picked up this one on a road trip to West Virginia where I was able to locate one and only one, craft beer shop in the area. Funny thing is they had enough to at least make it worth the visit but anyway, back to the beer.

There were the citrus and even tropical feel found in American Pale Ales from the hops, which balanced nicely against the malt base and their sweetness. The beer played out well with subtle tones in both the aroma and flavor that never became overpowering in any way, and overall it delivered a nice smoothness. I definitely enjoyed this beer and would drink it again, 3.5 out of 5 for me on this brew. Check out my video to hear and see more on this one.

New Belgium The Hemperor HPA Beer Review

The Hemperor HPA from New Belgium Brewing Company is one of the beers I did look forward to trying this year and was able to secure a six-pack from one of my local beer stores. Pungent, resiny, and dank were some of the first things I thought when I opened up this beer. The aroma is very aromatic and it does not take much to pick it up. I also found it to have a note of hop oil as well, and as for taste, the beer brings all of these into that as well. Although, there is a nice smoothness to its crisp texture and for me, it left behind both a nice mouthcoating and mouthfeel experience. This is not my first hemp beer and it did well to deliver the qualities expected, 4 out of 5 for me on this one.
