This episode we will be discussing some of our local breweries from our respective areas. It's time to rep our cities on the beer!

Unboxing Video: Adelbert's Brewery Says Hello
Austin, Texas is the home of Adelbert's Brewery and recently
I was contacted by Sarah Haney from Adelbert’s about taking a look at some of
their beers for some beer reviews, this is the unboxing of those beers for the
upcoming reviews. As I always look to keep my beer reviews fair and honest, I
did point this out and she understood that I would as well. There was no soliciting
on my part to gain any beers, but if you think that I am going to say no when
offered to look at some…then you are cray cray, for real. I am not familiar with
the brewery, so I am honored to be asked to do some reviews for them. Watch the
video to see the beers that I have received and then check back in the future
to gather my thoughts when the reviews are completed. Did someone say they do
Belgian Ales? Oh boy, this should be fun!

Beer Review: Abita Bourbon Street Rye Pale Ale
From the Abita Brewing Company comes the Bourbon Street Rye
Pale Ale, a beer brewed with Pale and Munich malts along with rye. This beer
comes in at an ABV of 9.5% and also uses Centennial hops to give the ale flavor
and aroma of citrus. And if that’s not enough, after fermentation the beer is
cold aged before then being bourbon barrel aged. During this part of the
process, the beer absorbs the flavors from the barrel such as vanilla, oak and bourbon.
Let’s see how all of this comes together.

Beer Review: New Belgium Accumulation
From New Belgium Brewing Company comes their Accumulation, a
6.2% ABV White IPA that is loaded with a strong wheat base and what’s said to
be a great hop profile. At 70 IBU, bitterness will be in play but in what IPA
is this not the case. Let’s see how this one does.
