Blake's El Chavo Cider Review
El Chavo is one of the cider offerings from Blake’s Hard Cider located in Michigan, and it is the subject of my latest review. Infused with Mango and Habanero made this cider one that quickly caught my interest, especially after how pleasing the last few ones have been that I have tried from Blake’s. So check out my video to see my thoughts on how it went with this one, and how I thought it tasted overall.
Fathead's Bumble Berry Beer Review
Bumble Berry is a honey blueberry ale from Fathead’s Brewery that carries an alcohol content of 5.3% ABV and a low IBU of 13. Brewed with one hop and 3 malts, this beer incorporates honey to add just that little bit more of sweetness to compliment the infused blueberries. An award winning beer in the past and a local favorite around Ohio makes this beer one that is sought after by its fans. For me, it did deliver nicely as it wasn’t overly sweet nor was it overly thin.

Braxton Brewing Moving To The Country Beer Review
Moving To The Country is a collaboration from Braxton Brewing in Covington, Kentucky and Sweetwater Brewing from out of Atlanta, Georgia. This peach Pale Ale comes in with an alcohol content of 5% ABV and 40 IBU and is the first beer launched in the Neighbor Series from Braxton Brewing. Highlighted by the peach influence over the tropical and sweet tartness, this beer played out for me in an interesting yet refreshing way.

Beer Review: Hop Trial Schlafly Barbe Rouge (One Time Release)
From the Hop Trial Pack of Schlafly comes the Barbe Rouge, a single malted single hopped Golden Ale that highlights this French hop of origin. Described as floral and fruity in nature, there was not much missing of these qualities in this beer. The standout note was that of a strawberry and the beer itself proved to be one that could easily be downed without a second thought. My Untappd rating on this one comes in at a 4 and was definitely one that was well worth drinking.

Beer Review: Hop Trial Schlafly Perle (One Time Release)
Back with another one of the Hop Trial beers from Schlafly – The Saint Louis Brewery, this is Perle. A single malt single hopped Golden Ale featuring this German hop of origin which is now also grown here in America. Known to be somewhat of a spicy hop, this was picked up for me in the delivery of the beer. However a second quality that is also to be displayed is that of a minty one which wasn’t much to speak of at the time, and was kind of faint in the background. Color was good though and some nice lacing did take place as the beer worked down the glass. As for flavor, there was a nice quality to the beer which had a refreshing and floral character. Moving to my Untappd scale…Chalk this one up as a 3.75 for me, and if on Untappd then feel free to connect so I can see what you’re drinking too. Same as here, can friend request to Rodjbeerventures…Cheers!

Beer Review: Schlafly Hop Trial Ella (One Time Release)
Hop Trial: Ella from Schlafly Beer is part of their series dedicated to the tasting of individual hops which started a couple of years ago. It is a Golden Ale single malted and single hopped, the goal is to allow the drinkers to taste and enjoy the hop identified which in this case is the Australian Ella. For me, I found this beer to actually perform pretty decently, the appearance was solid and it held well on the flavor and aroma. The beer proved to be a nice palatable experience as the floral qualities of the hop came through nicely, more so than the also noted fruity notes that one should experience. Unfortunately, the beers are not for individual sale as they are part of a specialty series only introduced in 12 packs. But if you happen to see it and there will be new ones here for 2018, then it may be well worth picking up to experience which ever hop is highlighted. My score for this one an 82 and found it to be a tasty enough brew.
