Getting My Cool Beer On | NewAir AB-850B Review

Okay, here is my last video in the series on the NewAir AB-850B beverage cooler, which I received from the company so that I could provide a review and thanks again Cher Castro for reaching out. Overall, I found the cooler to be solid thus far. I do like the look of it with the black acrylic siding and the led light adds a nice touch as it provides a good amount of lighting, which reflects nicely in the cooler. The temperature control is nice, as one can easily know where to adjust it for the desired temperatures to be sought. However, it would be nice if it had a built-in thermometer in the cooler but this can be overcome by just grabbing something like a meat thermometer and placing it inside on one of the shelves. This worked well for me and allowed a consisting setting of the right temperature.

Having adjustable shelves made the cooler easy to customize for how I wanted to set it up, and something to be cautious of is whether you have more cans or bottles and how you want to use it. Bottles will obviously cut down space but still, I was able to fill up at about 55 bottles and cans in the cooler but did have to leave a rack out. Some will stack bottles on the side; I personally do not recommend that especially with craft beers that may have sediment. They should be stored upright, so that needs to be kept in mind. In addition, of course, if you are placing 22-ounce or even larger bottles then again, space will be impacted for sure.

However, taking all of this into mind, the cooler is nice overall and is not heavy on energy; expect a cost of about $60 a year to run it. Also, the noise factor is pretty low as well so no matter where you place the cooler, there should not be an issue with this. If you are looking for somewhere to store your beverages and keep cool, this one thus far definitely passes the test thus far. Also, there is a 1-year warranty on the product, which I would like to see at least a 2-year or 3-year as a 1-year seems a little outdated for something like this for me, but time will tell.
